Child Centered Solutions (CCS) is a Portland-based advocacy organization that protects the rights and needs of children involved in divorce and custody disputes. CCS accomplishes our mission through three programs: free legal representation for children, professional training and community education.

CCS is seeking a seeking a hardworking, self-starter with fundraising experience who is motivated by social causes and interested in gaining a working knowledge of all aspects of a nonprofit organization.

Position Description:

The Development Associate will be responsible for many aspects of organizational support.

• Assist with the preparation and implementation of an annual fundraising plan.
• Research individual, corporate and foundation funding opportunities and pursue these contacts through personal communication, letters and grant writing.
• Assist in the planning and coordination of multiple events, including professional trainings, seminars and fundraising events.
• Manage CCS’s community interaction through reception, written correspondence, creation of monthly newsletter, development of media packet, and management of organization website.
• Other administrative duties including filing, database management, drafting correspondence, volunteer coordination and maintenance of financial information.

Requirements
• Bachelors Degree
• Fundraising and grant writing experience preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively in small group environment
• Ability to prioritize goals and work independently
• Proficient with standard operating software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Compensation
• $28,000-$30,000
