The Oregon Department of Transportation was established in 1969 to provide a safe, efficient transportation system that supports economic opportunity and livable communities for Oregonians. ODOT develops programs related to Oregons system of highways, roads, and bridges; railways; public transportation services; transportation safety programs; driver and vehicle licensing; and motor carrier regulation.
Customer Service Manager The Customer Service Manager will direct the operations of the North Portland DMV field office employees; represent the offices in dealings with other agency managers, other governmental entities, community groups and customers; and will participate directly in service delivery activities with customers. The salary range is $3080-$4754/month+ excellent benefits. This position is located in Portland. As a Customer Service Manager you will: Assists customers with vehicle registration and titling, interpreting and applying applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies. Performs VIN (vehicle inspections). Issues all types of over the road permits. Conducts and interprets vision, law, behind the wheel, CDL, and motorcycle operator skills tests. Produces photo licenses, permits and ID cards. Complete reports and maintain records related to management and the operation of the field office. Accountable for assuring that security procedures related to cash receipts and sensitive documents/items are closely followed and that inventory records are current and accurate (license plates, renewal stickers, driver license blanks and laminates, etc.). This experience must have included participation in the management of a program, section, or unit including one or more of the following areas: a) development of program rules and policies; b) development of long- and short-range goals and plans; c) program evaluation; or d) budget preparation AND A valid driver license and an acceptable driving record. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent course work (144 quarter or 96 semester hours) in a field related to management such as Business or Public Administration; or a field closely related may be substituted for up to three years of the required experience.
