Current Volunteer Opportunities

Scholarship Writing Workshops – Student Support Volunteers

The Black United Fund of Oregon (BUF-OR) is looking for volunteers for our Scholarship Writing Workshops (SWW)!

A trained facilitator will lead the curriculum, with volunteers supporting students throughout the workshop, which may include leading small groups, answering questions, and helping students write their essays.

Volunteer training will be provided prior to the student Scholarship Writing Workshop.

We are looking for volunteers for an in-person workshop in November and for future events. Please let us know if you are interested in supporting these events!

Preserving Organizational History – Archive Volunteers

The Black United Fund of Oregon is looking for detail-oriented, committed volunteers to support digitization of archived organizational records and historically important documents, providing both an in-house system and online platform for reference.

Experience with information management, cataloging/filing, document/archive preservation, or other records organization a plus!

Please note this is NOT a remote opportunity. Project schedule flexible to fit your availability.
